Baptism or Christening or Thanksgiving Service provides an opportunity to bring God actively into the life of the family: to thank and praise Him for the safe delivery of the child and for parents, family, friends to commit themselves to nurture and support this child and his/ her family. We usually conduct a service as part of a Sunday morning service, our congregation can add their prayers to yours. The ceremony concludes by praying God’s blessing on the baby or toddler, in the words of the age old prayer from the Bible:
"The LORD bless you
and keep you;
the LORD make his face shine on you
and be gracious to you;
the LORD turn his face toward you
and give you peace."
